Users may register for accounts with different roles (Public, Rescue Team, Authority, Administrator). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

We collect personal information including name, email, phone number, and location data to provide our services. Location data may be collected automatically with your permission to assist with hazard reporting and rescue coordination. All data is handled in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and applicable Indian data protection laws.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, logos, and materials on Ocean Sentinels are the property of the platform and the Government of India. Users retain ownership of their submitted reports but grant Ocean Sentinels a license to use, display, and share this information for emergency response purposes.

7. Limitation of Liability

Ocean Sentinels provides information and coordination tools on an "as-is" basis. While we strive for accuracy and reliability, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or the accuracy of all information. The platform is not a substitute for calling emergency services (112, 1554) in life-threatening situations.

8. Emergency Services Disclaimer

Ocean Sentinels is a supplementary tool for coastal safety. In case of immediate danger, always contact emergency services directly. Response times may vary based on location, network availability, and rescue team availability.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi, India.
